Prof. Yurdanur Ünal is a Professor in the Department of Meteorological Engineering at the İstanbul Technical University (ITU) where she has a faculty member since 1995. Dr. Ünal holds a BS degree from Istanbul Technical University, Meteorological Engineering. She obtained her MSc and Ph.D. at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the area of Atmospheric Sciences. Her PhD work, focused on the global sea level variability. She worked as a visiting scholar in UCLA, Atmospheric Science Department, UC San Diego, Experimental Climate Prediction Center for summer periods of 1996 and 1998, respectively, and Chicago University, Department of Geophysical Sciences for the academic year of 2001-2002.
