Head of Demographic Statistics Department, Turkish Statistical Institute

Dr. Canpolat Graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Environmental Engineering in 1994. She received her master's degree in Environmental Engineering Department from Middle East Technical University in 1998 and a Ph.D. degree in Technical Demography from Hacettepe University Institute of Population Studies in 2008.

She has several studies like aging of the population, the demographic and economic impact of aging, brought about by an aging population risks and opportunities, the analysis of the age of notification errors in the census, the current status of such households where the elderly population in Turkey and forward-looking projections, population and household projections, depending on traffic accidents in Turkey calculation of the lost person-years, standard risk analysis and maps of traffic accident statistics, population and population policies in Turkey. She is a founding member of the Demography Association and a board member of the 2007-2008 period. Since October 2012, he has been working as Head of Demographic Statistics Department.
