Mazen AboulHosn

Emergency Coordinator, IOM Turkey

Mazen has worked in response to crisis in Lebanon (2007), Haiti (Earthquake 2010), Chad (Libya crisis 2011), Congo (2011) and Turkey (2011 Van earthquake). His expertise covers humanitarian response programming and coordination in natural disasters, conflicts and complex emergencies. He worked in several programs including psychosocial, education, livelihood, health, and community stabilization and migration management. He participated in several workshops as a trainer on psychosocial subjects.

Since 2012, Mazen is following on the Syria crisis response in Turkey including coordination with the Government of Turkey, liaison with donors, coordination with UN agencies and NGOs, strategic planning for humanitarian response and overview of IOM programs mainly in Ankara, South East of Turkey and Izmir. He is also working on mainstreaming migration in Sustainable Development Goals.

Mazen obtained a BA in Psychology and Master Degree in Psychosocial Support in war torn societies from the Lebanese University. He is also a holder of Master Degree in Cultural Management from University of Perpignan in France.
