Ervin Sezgin

Marmara Region Local Government Consultant, RESLOG Turkey Project

Ervin has a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from Istanbul Technical University. He taught at the same university at masters and undergraduate levels between 2014 and 2018. Meanwhile, he served as urban governance and planning specialist and as a consultant for UN Habitat, the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanism, development agencies and local governments in Turkey. As a part of his work, Ervin prepared various technical and policy advice reports and wrote academic research papers.

Ervin is a team member of the Resilience in Local Governance (RESLOG) Project, which is applied in collaboration with SKL-International and the Marmara Municipalities Union. He supports local governments to prepare their Migration Master Plans.

His publications and professional interests focus on international migration, urban governance, major urban development projects, regional policies & politics and border regions.
