Ebru Firidin Özgür

Ebru Firidin Özgür is a City Planner graduated from Mimar Sinan University, and she has a master degree on urban design at the same university. She studied social and spatial segregation in her PhD. She has been teaching and researching in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University since 2000. She teaches history of human settlements, planning studio, urban design studio, theories of urban design, and public spaces and the dimensions of publicness in urban life both undergraduate and graduate levels. She worked in several urban design projects and urban plans during her career. Her recent researches focus on the changes in use of public spaces, the role of public spaces in everyday life, and policies on public space provision.
