Bilal Eryılmaz

Professor of Political Science and Public Administration, Istanbul Medeniyet University

Prof. Bilal Eryılmaz, after graduating from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, he started working as an assistant in Ege University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Public Administration. He completed his doctorate in the same field of study. He also conducted researches on bureaucracy, central government-local government relations at the University of Reading in England. Eryılmaz received his associate professorship in the field of “Management Sciences” and his professorship in the field of “Public Administration”. He worked at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University and Sakarya University. Eryilmaz is currently working at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Faculty of Political Sciences. Besides the academic and administrative positions such as head of department, the Director of the Institute of Social Sciences, Faculty Dean, Rector advisor, dean of students, the Head of Prime Ministry Public Officials Ethics Committee, Turkey Electricity Transmission Corp. (TEİAŞ) Board Membership, he also took part in the field of “Public Administration Reform” in the Prime Ministry. Apart from Bilal Eryılmaz's articles published in various journals, he has also published books on the Management of Non-Muslim Subjects in the Ottoman Empire (1996), Tanzimat and Modernization in Administration (2017), Public Administration (2018), and the Policy of Living Together in the Ottoman Empire (2019).
