Ahmet Yılmaz

Founding Partner, Mi’Mar Architecture

Ahmet Yılmaz, born in Tokat in 1972, completed his undergraduate studies at the Architecture Department of Yıldız Technical University and his master's degree at the Restoration Department of the Institute of Science at Mimar Sinan University. Since 1994, when he completed his undergraduate education, he has taken part in many projects as project manager and site manager in various offices. His Bilgi University Dolapdere Campus Building I project was granted the Life Circle Award (Yaşam Çevresi Ödülü) at the 8th National Architecture Exhibition and Awards in 2002, and the Dolapdere Campus Building II was granted the Structure Award (Yapı Ödülü) in 2004. In 2014, he was granted the first prize for the South-eastern Anatolia in TOKI’s national architectural project competition “Seven Climates, Seven Regions.” He is a faculty member at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University and the Faculty of Architecture and Design at İstanbul Şehir University.

He is a member of Istanbul Chamber of Architects and Touring Automobile Association and Cultural Council of Turkey.
